Hispanic Heritage Month is a special time of the year when we celebrate the histories, culture, and contributions of people who either themselves or their families came from Spain and Latin America to the U.S.
During this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month, IQ Latino will highlight the achievement of 31 Hispanics whose contribution to the U.S. enriches the country. These people have contributed to the history, arts, science, academics, politics, and more!
September 15 – Mayra Macías
One of the American Association of Political Consultants’ top “2019 40 Under 40,” Mayra was the architect behind Latino Victory’s 74% win rate in the 2018 cycle — playing a critical role in electing the most diverse congressional class in history.
September 16 – Teresa Valcarce
Known as the “Portrait Lady” in Congress, she led the quest to fulfill a Continental Congress Resolution that was 231 years overdue. Turns out, it was harder than she initially thought.
